Honoring the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

For the past 35 years, on the third Monday in January, the United States has honored one of our nation’s heroes — the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.—with a federal holiday.

Today, as we reflect upon these unprecedented times, and as our nation prepares to usher in a new and historic Administration, we are reminded of, and commemorate the life, work, sacrifice, and legacy of this great American.

Dr. King once said, “We shall overcome because the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.” Montgomery Hospice and Prince George’s Hospice remain committed to doing our part to help bend that arc in our workplace and for the diverse patients and families we are honored to serve.

We invite you to visit The King Center to learn more about this world-renowned Civil Rights leader, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, humanitarian and patriot, and to find ways today to help honor his work and sacrifice.

In the spirit of service, peace, and justice for all,

Elma Levy, Chair, Board of Directors
Ann Mitchell, President and CEO
Montgomery Hospice and Prince George’s Hospice
