Commemorate a loved one or honor someone who has touched your life by participating in the 2025 Montgomery Hospice and Prince George’s Hospice Tree of Lights. Each year, the ceremony provides the opportunity to remember friends and family during the season of Thanksgiving. Your commemoration enables our organization to care for anyone with a life-limiting illness, regardless of ability to pay.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Monday, November 24, 6:30pm to 8:00pm

A large evergreen tree on the grounds of Brookside Gardens, designated as the 2025 Montgomery Hospice and Prince George’s Hospice Tree of Lights, will be illuminated with hundreds of lights. Each light representing the life of a loved one who shines in our memory.

The brief outdoor ceremony includes words of remembrance from our counseling staff and concludes with the stunning illumination of the Tree of Lights. A reception with light refreshments immediately follows the ceremony in the Visitors Center and you may also tour the beautifully illuminated park at your leisure. The tree will remain illuminated at Brookside Gardens throughout the winter holidays and an electronic version of the 2025 Tree of Lights Honor Book, which includes the listing of the names of loved ones and friends, will be available to view on this page beginning the evening of November 24.

Brookside Gardens is located at 1800 Glenallan Avenue in Wheaton, MD 20902.
